The girl on top floor

17 Mar

|Just felt right to repost this due to the disgusting controversies going on in India right now. This is about the stereotypes that we create for women.|
There was a girl living on the top floor,
I was been told that she was quiet a whore,
as she came through,
all eyes stared like clowns,
seeing her through filtered eyes,
filtered with what she was rumored to be,
they never perceived what they saw,
they only perceived what they heard,
for a while I became a part of those clowns,
but for one moment I stopped and I thought,
isn’t she just,
an ordinary woman?

I agree with you. The current scenario in India is turning ugly by the minute and it ain’t fair to the departed soul.

Exactly! And I don’t understand the hypocrisy of the minority of the male species! Although, most of the men are siding with the girl which is a refreshing change and I appreciate that.
